New Faculty Members
2008 - 2009
Mrs. Rebecca Gayle Meyers - K-4 teacher - Rebecca is state certified for preschool and received her K-4 preschool certification through the A Beka program in Pensacola, Florida. She comes to us from Sweethaven Christian Academy where she was lead teacher for the K-3/K-4 program for 12 years. She is an active member at West Park Church of Christ.
Miss Kari Dye - 2nd grade - Kari comes to us from Ohio, although she grew up here in the Tidewater area. She is a graduate of Columbia International University with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and Bible. She is state certified and ACSI certified. Kari will be moving here in August and will begin looking for her new church home.
Mrs. Megan Boatwright - 5th grade/6th grade - Megan is from Georgia and is a graduate of Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is state certified. Her ACSI certification is being processed and will be in place by beginning of the school year. Megan and her husband are actively looking for a new church home.
Ms. Jessica Smith - 7th/8th grade - Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of North Florida with a major in psychology. She is a veteran teacher with many years of teaching experience in Florida and California. She is a community group leader at Western Branch Community Church where she is actively involved.
Mrs. Kacie Kiser - High School English - Prior to coming to ACS Kacie has been the coordinator/teacher for public school students visiting the Norfolk Botantical Gardens. This involved on-site classes as well as outreach classes at the local public schools. Kacie has a BA in English with an emphasis in professional writing from Old Dominion University.
Her ACSI certification is being processed and will be in place by the beginning of the school year. Kacie and her husband attend Forefront Community Church in Virginia Beach where they are active members.
Mr. Andrew Cleek - Health & PE Teacher - Andrew is a recent graduate of Chowan University with a Bachelor of Science in PE/Sports Management. He just completed a summer internship with the Asheboro Copperheads, members of the Coastal Plain League. His ACSI certification is being processed and will be in place by the beginning of the school year. He is an active member at the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Norfolk.

Mrs. Kimberly Johnson - Spanish Teacher
